TOMATO RASAM

Ingredients:
  • 150 gm tomatoes
  • 30 gm split red gram
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 3-4 curry leaves
  • 1/4 bunch coriander leaves
  • 1 lime
  • seasoning to taste
  • 5 gm green chillies
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 2 tbsp oil
Preparation Method:
Make tomato juice in the juicer and strain. Cook the gram separately. When done, keep the water aside. Mix the tomato juice and the gram water and boil together for 10 minutes with a whole but split chilli.

Add in the coarsely grounded cumin seeds and pepper and cook for another 5 minutes. Fry mustard and add to rasam with curry and coriander leaves. Remove from the fire and add in seasoning and lime juice.
